John is the oldest of 5 children. He grew up in Brooklyn, New York where he attended Franklin K Lane High School. During high school he played softball and football, as an adult he was in a dart league with some family members. John worked for Coke while living New York. One year while visiting his brother, Raymond in Colorado he fell in love the state and shortly after moved the whole family. They settling in Castle Rock, CO he began working for Waste Management. He most recently was worked with Walmart in Castle Rock.
John enjoyed watching NASCAR and football, always cheering for the Jets. He loved a good conspiracy theory, especially if they involved aliens and in his free time he enjoyed watching cooking shows and movies. Some of his favorite genres included: indie films, sci-fi and action. He had a loud personality and always shared what was on his mind but enjoyed his small group of close family and friends.
John is survived by his daughter Jennifer Dowdican; father John J. Dowdican; siblings Karen Dowdican, Raymond Dowdican and his wife Ana; niece Samantha Dowdican; grandsons: Rafael Miranda, Joshua Dowdican and his granddaughter Madison Miranda.
John was preceded in death by his mother Patricia Dowdican; his sister Linda Dowdican and his brother Michael Dowdican.
Cremation is being handled through Olinger Andrews Caldwell Gibson Chapel.
