John Edward Murphy, 83, of Sedalia, Colorado, passed away on September 6, 2025. John was born in Denver, Colorado on August 8, 1942 and graduated from Douglas County High School. After high school, John received a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Colorado College.
John married the love of his life, Maria Antonieta, on August 24, 1977. They enjoyed 48 years together before his passing.
John was an Air Force veteran and was proud to have served his country. He was also passionate about education, and enjoyed teaching students at Westwood Elementary School.
John is survived by his wife, Tonia Murphy, and sister, Bobbi Allen. A private service will be held at a later date.
