Joyce La Verne Jenkins, 89, of Kiowa, Colorado, passed away on September 29, 2026. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on February 19, 1937, Joyce was the daughter of John and Clara Cramer. She was a graduate of Hughes High School.
Throughout her working life, Joyce built a respected career in the legal field, serving as an executive secretary—a role that reflected her steady competence, professionalism, and dedication to doing things well.
Joyce’s greatest legacy lives on through her family. She had one daughter, Ronda Hayne (Kent), and she took deep pride in the generations that followed: granddaughters Melissa Watt (Daniel) and Rachel Tomasi (Slaven); great-grandchildren Caden Watt, Ella Grace Watt, Piper Jane Watt, Madelyn Tomasi, and Carter Tomasi. She was preceded in death by great-grandson Jackson Watt.
A woman of faith, Joyce was a Christian who loved her Lord, and she found fellowship as a member of Majestic View Church. Her faith was a steady presence in her life—quietly guiding, strengthening, and sustaining her.
Joyce also found joy in the everyday gifts that make a life rich and full. She had a passion for sports and loved baseball most of all, especially the Dodgers. She was an avid gardener who created a beautiful garden, and she took special pleasure in music, with a lasting fondness for classical selections.
Joyce La Verne Jenkins will be remembered with gratitude and respect, and her life will be honored in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
