

Keiko was born on May 4, 1965, in Boulder, Colorado, to Takashi and Kazuko Sasamori. She was a proud graduate of the University of Illinois, where she earned her degree and began a career in the mortgage industry. Later, Keiko found her true calling in library services, dedicating her time and passion to the Douglas County Library in Castle Rock, Colorado. Her work was more than a job; it was a source of joy, and the friendships she forged with her colleagues were deeply cherished.
Keiko is survived by her devoted husband, Brent Hanson, and their three children, Collin, Conor, and Kendall Hanson. She is also survived by her brothers, Koichi (Xiaohong Zhang) and Akira Sasamori. She was preceded in death by her parents, Takashi and Kazuko Sasamori.
Keiko had a profound love for animals, especially her two dogs, Katy and Bandit. Her kindness, generosity, and love for her family and friends will be remembered always. She brought warmth and light to everyone she met, and her legacy of love and compassion will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.
Keiko will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
A celebration of Keiko's life will be held Renner Wikoff Chapel 1900 Philo Road, Urbana, Illinois from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Saturday, June 1, 2024.
A celebration of life for Keiko will be held Saturday, July 13, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM at Olinger Andrews Caldwell Gibson Chapel, 407 Jerry Street, Castle Rock, CO 80104.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Dumb Friends League of Douglas County in her memory.
