Larry grew up in North Denver and graduated from North High School. He was drafted into the US Army and spend 2 years serving as a finance clerk. After he was discharged he met Margaret Madrid at his job. They married August 11, 1967 and settled in Denver, CO before moving to Castle Rock, CO in 2002.
He loved to talk to people and spent over 50 years in sales. He led the cub scouts for over 20 years, and was an avid member of St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church. Through his work he participated in numerous other organizations.
Larry was an accomplished bowler and a member of several bowling leagues in the late 60s and 70s. He visited many different places with his bowling team. He enjoyed golfing with clients, friends and family. He had a passion for traveling; visiting Europe, Mexico and all over the states. He loved to cruise and his favorite destinations were Hawaii and Puerto Vallarta.
He would cheer for the Nebraska Cornhuskers and the Denver Broncos. A gentle giant he was hard to anger, always cared about you and adored his dogs. He has a special spot for his dachshunds, especially Fred. He would always ask his family for a text when you get home no matter what time. Larry was the ultimate dining connoisseur, he knew the good spot to eat in almost every city. He never met a stranger and would know their entire life story after a 10 minute conversation.
