Marce E Cordova
March 3, 1928 – June 26, 2018
Marce Cordova was born on March 3, 1928 to Marce Cordova Sr. and Elsie (Medina) Cordova in Trinidad, Colorado. The family moved to Denver for a time, but Marce missed living in the country. He moved back to Trinidad by age 12. He lived with his grandparents on a farm/ranch until his parents eventually moved back to Trinidad. He attended Hoehne High School. He worked a variety of jobs until he joined the United States Army when he was 22 years of age. He was granted a dependency discharge when his parents fell ill. Marce met his wife, Dolores Flynn, and they were married in 1952. They welcomed their first child, moved to back to Denver where the family eventually grew to a family of five. In 1961, he moved his family to the Castle Rock area. Marce worked for Gates Rubber Company until 1973. At that time, he went to work for Douglas County School District until he retired in 1992.
Marce enjoyed softball, where he was a pitcher in several leagues. He bowled, and enjoyed playing a game of golf.
In the last few years, Marce suffered from Parkinson’s Disease. He passed away on June 26, 2018. He is survived by his wife, Dolores, of 66 years and three children Karen (Wayne) Moore, Jim (Mary Ellen) Cordova and Jeanie Flynn, 5 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
