Margaret Ann Young

Margaret Ann Young, maiden name Flynn was born May 17, 1941 in the Bronx to parents Anna Oikelmus Flynn and William Flynn. She moved to Long Island in in 1965 and lived there until she retired. She worked various jobs throughout her lifetime including retail jobs, as well as for the phone company, the Centesearch Fire Department, and her most recent and longest held position as a CNA for ambulatory surgery. After retirement she moved to Colorado to live with her daughter and son-in-law. There she helped to take care of their children while both worked full time.

Peggy was kind, friendly, easy going, honest and giving to everyone around her. She enjoyed reading and loved dogs.

Peggy is survived by her sister Nancy, her sons Chris and Tom Young, her daughter Elizabeth McCarthy and son-in-law Chris McCarthy, her grandsons Joseph Young, Cyanan and Colin McCarthy, and by her nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her parents Anna and William Flynn, and her brothers William and Joseph Flynn.

Services for Margaret Young will be held in New York at an as of yet undetermined date.
