
She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Robert McBreen; sisters, Philomena Moore and Geraldine DiRocco; and brother, Vincent DiRocco, M.D. Marianne is survived by her son, John Bonnar McBreen of Gallup, New Mexico and nieces and nephews.
Marianne was a Roman Catholic member of St. John the Baptist Church, Catholic Women Council and Joan of Arc Circle. She was a registered nurse and worked as a school nurse in Philadelphia prior to her entrance into the Army Nurse Corps. in WWII. She served in the Pacific in the 3rd Field Hospital in Australia, New Guinea and the Philippines. After discharge, she worked in Veteran’s Administration in Oklahoma City until her retirement to Hot Springs in 1974.
She was a member of Women’s Welcome Club, Garland County Women’s Republicans, YMCA, Dorcas Guild, Garland County Extension Homemakers, VFW 2278, Emblem Club and National Retirement Association 205.
Visitation will be 5:00-6:00 p.m. Monday at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home with rosary to follow.
A service will be at Olinger Funeral Home in Castle Rock, Colorado at a later date. Interment will be in Elizabeth Cemetery with military honors.
