Marina was born on July 5, 1959, in Kimball, Nebraska, to Jay Cawdell and Annie (Bowers) Cawdell.
Marina was a devoted mother, Mimi, and friend. She is survived by her three beloved children: Cara Esquibel (Brian Esquibel), Brandon Lucas (Keilly Lucas), and Natasha Aragon (Josh Aragon). She was also a proud and loving Mimi to her four grandchildren: CJ Esquibel, Colton Esquibel, Jeppesen Lucas, and Dominic Aragon.
Marina loved life, music, and the beach. She found joy in spending time with her family. She will be remembered as a wonderful mother and a cherished Mimi whose love will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
Marina was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Jay and Joe.
A Celebration of Life will be held on August 2, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Olinger Castle Rock, 407 Jerry Street, Castle Rock, CO 80104.
In honor of Marina, guests are encouraged to wear black, her favorite color.
