Mark Ian Lombardo Sr., beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away on July 11, 2025, at the age of 69. Born on June 8, 1956, Mark grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, where he developed his deep love for family, food, sports, and his Italian roots.
Mark was the son of the late Ross and Betty (Katz) Lombardo, and the brother of the late Paul Lombardo. He is survived by his loving wife, Debra Lombardo, and his children Christina, Mark Jr., Summer, and Ross, each of whom he was incredibly proud of. His devotion to his family defined his life, and he made sure they knew how much they meant to him every day.
Mark was affectionately referred to by many as “everyone’s favorite grump.” He was known for his stubbornness, unmistakable sarcasm, and dry sense of humor. Beneath that gruff exterior was a man with a heart of gold who never missed a moment to support or protect those he loved. He was a big softie for pets, treating every animal like a member of the family.
Mark loved sports, especially football, and was a loyal fan of the Denver Broncos.
His love of food, especially pizza, was well known. Always eager to try a new Italian restaurant, he never passed up a chance to share a meal with the people he loved most. While he proudly called Colorado home in his later years, he never stopped missing the food back in Cleveland.
Mark lived a full life rooted in laughter, loyalty, and love. His presence was a steady force in the lives of those around him, and his memory will be carried forward in the stories, traditions, and moments shared by the family he adored.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
A celebration of life for Mark will be held Friday, July 25, 2025 at 3:00 PM at Olinger Andrews Caldwell Gibson Chapel, 407 Jerry St, Castle Rock, Colorado 80104.
