

Marvin Earl Emrich entered into eternal life on May 19th, 2021. He was born December 6th 1932 in Hillsdale County, Michigan, the oldest child of Earl Francis Emrich and Ellen Louise (Wrench) Emrich. They moved to Laramie, Wyoming in 1933. Marvin attended grade school and University Prep School in Laramie, he attended Northwest Nazarene college in Nampa, Idaho and then the University of Wyoming where he obtained his Masters Degree. Marvin received his Ed.D at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. Dr. Emrich served as Media Director for Natrona County School District for a number of years.
Marvin served in the US Army after college in Alaska, during the "Cold War" era. Marvin taught at East Junior High and at Casper College. He served as president of a local teachers association and Wyoming Education Association, he was a member of Casper Kiwanis Club and recorded several of their international conventions in the US and Europe and was also an active member of Right to Life Wyoming and was a strong supporter of pro-life and patriotic causes.
Marv opened his own small business Emrich Media Enterprises in Casper Wyoming, researched, narrated and produced a series of DVD's on Wyoming historic trails, he also served two terms in the Wyoming State Legislature 1967-1971. Marvin married Maureen (Burke) July 6th, 1968 in Casper, Wyoming.
He was involved in Wyoming State Politics, served as chairman in Natrona County Republican Party and was elected as a delegate for numerous state and national conventions. As a representative of Gideons he spoke in numerous churches and loved his faith, family and freedom. Marvin enjoyed traveling with family and big game hunting. After moving to Castle Rock, Colorado he enjoyed writing short stories.
Marv was laid to rest at Pikes Peak National Cemetery in Colorado Springs on May 24th, 2021.
Marvin is survived by his wife Maureen of nearly 53 years, sons, David (Angel) Emrich (Corpus Christi, TX) and Andrew (Shandra) Emrich (Highlands Ranch, CO), daughter, Sarah (Christopher) D'Arcangelis (Monument, CO), and 14 grandchildren, Alexander, Damian, John, Joseph and James Emrich and Michael (Tori), Anthony, Patrick, Isabella, Kolbe, Andrew, John Paul, Mary and Becket D'Arcangelis. Marvin is preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Ellen, brother Ronald, sister Elaine Hackett, and one granddaughter Cecilia Emrich.
