Mick was a multi-faceted man! He was an amazing husband and a devoted father. He loved his family. He loved all things outdoors. He climbed the Grand Teton and Pikes Peak for charity just because someone asked him too. He loved his dogs! He built a log house with his own hands, hand peeling the logs - not having had any building experience. And then he couldn't stop building. He couldn't leave a good log behind - maybe you saw them when you arrived! He loved photgraphing wildflowers and landscapes. He was a runner - doing a 4:21 mile, qualifying for the Boston Marathan several times. He ran with Dan and his friends on 200 mile relays - a highlight in his life. For his 52nd birthday he rode his bicycle to Michigan, 1598 miles, in 29 days, because he could. Bicycling gave him freedom. He had a following of fans with his writing. He loved to write, never being politically correct, just to get people thinking. He was a craftsman. He enouraged and cheered his friends on in life and on FB. He loved squirrels.
