Mike Meyer, 84, of Larkspur, Colorado, passed away on June 11, 2026. Born February 3, 1942, in Colorado, Mike was raised in Denver, Colorado, the son of Wadena and Justus. Throughout his life, he was a beloved presence to those who knew him, and his steady, faithful devotion to the people and places he cared for was evident in both quiet moments and lifelong commitments.
Mike retired from the Government, concluding a career marked by reliability and service. Those who worked alongside him and those who depended on him knew him as someone who could be counted on—consistent in his responsibilities and steadfast in his principles.
In 1991, Mike married Cecelia Harrington in Las Vegas. The story of that day remained a cherished reminder of his genuine excitement and the joy he carried into the moment—so much so that he forgot his wedding pants and had to buy a pair there. It is a memory that captures the warmth of his spirit and the sincere happiness he found in building a life with Cecelia. In the years that followed, Mike most enjoyed simply spending time with her, faithful in companionship and devoted in love.
Mike’s happiest hours were often spent outdoors. He loved fishing, driving up mountain roads, and being in the open air. He also loved watching baseball, and for a time he even coached children—sharing his time and attention in a way that reflected the care he brought to the lives around him.
Mike is survived by his wife, Cecelia Meyer.
Final resting place will be Cedar Hill Cemetery, 880 E Wolfensberger Road, Castle Rock.
