Growing up as a military kid, Mindy spent time in a few different places. In her younger years she was a part of the first girls basketball team in her school. While she spent most of her time in Colorado, she lived in various states over the years.
While working as the property manager in Castle Rock, she hired Jay, as ground maintenance. It didn't take long for their relationship to bloom and they were married November 20, 2004. They spent 20 years deeply in love, sharing dreams of their future and enjoying every minute they shared with their 5 wonderful children. Through all her different careers, the title she loved the most was wife and mother.
Mindy was a loving wife, a devoted daughter and a protective mother. She cared more for her family than she did herself, despite her feisty personality. She was fiercely loyal to her family and close friends. Having a soft spot for animals, she adored her cat, Buttercup, and her kids' pet birds and fish. After being born again, she has remained a faithful Christian. She will continue to live on in peace with her heavenly father.
Mindy is survived by her husband, Jay Hanson; her daughter Julie Currie; her daughter Megan McWhorter (Justin); her daughter Hannah Currie; her son Michael Hanson; and her daughter Grace Hanson; her father Andrew Jay Woodgeard (Judy); her sister Jeanette Ann Cox; her grandson Evan McWhorter, her granddaughter Kylie McWhorter, her granddaughter Brooke McWhorter and her grandmother Ann Mae Moore.
Mindy was preceded in death by her mother Vicki Jeanne Bruce Wilson.
