Born on the Fourth of July, 1962, in Huntington Park, California, Pam eventually found her true home in Yukon, Oklahoma. It was there that she forged unbreakable bonds with her lifelong friends, the "Terrible Ten"—a nickname affectionately coined by her husband. This sisterhood remained a constant in her life, culminating in a final, joyful reunion where they transformed Pam’s hospital room into a bingo hall just days before she passed. A Yukon High drill team alumna, Pam earned her business degree from Southwestern Oklahoma State University, where she also served as the treasurer for Alpha Gamma Delta. She channeled her education and her natural gift for connection into a successful career in the travel industry, a role that allowed her vibrant spirit to shine.
Pam's life was defined by a deep love for her family. She and her husband, John, met in 1985 and moved to Lafayette, Louisiana together. The pair were married in Oklahoma City on December 30th, 1989. Pam and John welcomed their son, Kevin Michael Stoddard, on November 8, 1992, followed by their daughter, Paula Beth Stoddard, on April 13, 1994. Pam was always the steady center of the family—managing life at home while John traveled for work and often taking the children on adventures to visit him offshore in places like Trinidad. Pam and John settled in Larkspur, CO in 2015.
Pam was a dedicated mother often hauling Kevin and Paula to and from swim meets, as well as providing support to Kevin through his schooling at the Naval Academy and three separate deployments overseas as an EOD technician. Pam spent much of her last year visiting Kevin, Kevin's wife (Lauren), and their newest addition to the family, Van Michael Stoddard. Pam supported Paula throughout her schooling in Buffalo, NY and during her Masters at Emory University, often flying out at a moments notice when she was in need of a practice patient for her dermatology training. She was overjoyed to see Paula marry her husband Jordan in August 2025.
Pam fought bravely against breast cancer following her diagnosis in December of 2022. Pam remained persistent in her battle - never missing an appointment or delaying treatment, and always possessing an upbeat mindset. She refused to let her illness keep her at home and remained deeply involved with her beloved Larkspur community, including her cherished group of "Crafty Chicks," scrapbooking, and time spent with friends up until her final days.
A celebration of life will be held on May 30th, 2026. Please contact the Stoddards for further details.
