Patty Joan Hasty

Patty Joan Hasty, age 75, of Castle Rock, Colorado, passed away peacefully on September 23, 2025. She was born on September 9, 1950, in Denver, Colorado, to Betty Winkler and Richard Creer, and was later lovingly cared for by her stepfather, George Winkler.

Patty was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 33 years, Otis “Earl” Hasty; her parents; her stepfather; and her sister, Linda Creer Ereth.

She is survived by her daughters, Jessie Gray and Jamie Gray, and their father, Joseph Gray; her granddaughter, Elizabeth Gray; her grandson, Fallon Miller; her stepchildren, Cheryl (Ben) Tempel, Sherry Cowan, and Edward Hasty; her step-grandchildren, Robin (Joe) Cowan, Morgan (Jamie) Tempel, and Cody (Corey) Cowan; her sister, Jodi (Kevin) Daniels; and nieces, Richelle Miller, Nichole McDonald, Taylor (Scott) Gilliland, and Jordan (Austin) Varbel. Patty also leaves behind numerous great-grandchildren, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins who will forever cherish her memory.

A proud graduate of Douglas County High School class of 1968, Patty dedicated her life to her family, her community, and her many passions. She was deeply involved in volunteer work, giving her time generously to Relay for Life, the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, the Optimists, and the Castle Rock Senior Center. As a founding member of the Castle Rock Fraternal Order of the Eagles, she played a key role in its growth and success, always eager to help in any way she could.

Patty also found joy in her personal hobbies, especially her collections of trains, angels, and butterflies, which brought her great delight. Above all, Patty will be remembered for her giving spirit, her unwavering dedication to others, and the love she shared with her family and community.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. at the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, 1300 Caprice Dr., Castle Rock, CO 80109.

Patty’s life was one of kindness, generosity, and service, and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
