Rex Ronald Hoffman, age 93, of Castle Rock, Colorado passed away on Friday, September 3, 2021. Rex was born March 21, 1928. Rex grew up on a farm south and east of Dodge City, Kansas and attended High School and college in Kansas. He moved to Colorado as a young man and worked cattle ranches as a “real life” cowboy. He soon realized that there was no money in pushing cows and riding fence. If he was ever to have a family he needed a new occupation. He became a surveyor & civil engineer. Later he became a millwright out of Local 2834 in Denver, Colorado. Rex loved Jesus Christ as his personal savior, and he loved his wife and 3 sons. He had many friends in Christ and was loved and admired by all who knew and worked with him. He was also passionate about fishing and working with wood.
Rex is survived by 2 sons; Ron (Cathy) Hoffman and Vernon Hoffman, 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and numerous great great grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother Max (Donna) Hoffman. He was preceded in death by his wife Ethel Jeanne, his son, John Wilson Hoffman and 2 siblings, Barstow Hoffman & Margie Kissel.
A memorial service for Rex will be held Monday, September 13, 2021 from 6:30 PM at Castle Rock Church of Christ, 2247 5th St., Castle Rock, Colorado 80104.
