Richard passed away on August 30, 2015 from an accident in his home. Born and raised in Colorado, Rich was the quintessential mountain man. Rich graduated from CSU in 1979 with a degree in geology, but spent most of his career doing geophysical work, culminating as a Senior Geophysicist with Zapata Engineering. His geophysical work spanned the entire U.S. and several foreign countries. His favorite locales were Hawaii and Alaska. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting, fishing and skiing. He is predeceased by his father Dr. Richard Blohm and his brother Neil Blohm. He is survived by his mother Florence and three brothers, Steven, Mark (Laurie) and Todd. His laughter, camaraderie and devotion to family and friends will be sorely missed.
