Richard "Dick" Arthur Swanson

Dick graduated from Strong Vincent High School and received his Master's Degree from the University of Phoenix. He married the love of his life, Sandra on July 15, 1967 and they had a beautiful family. He was a dedicated husband, loving father and grandfather. Dick worked in law enforcement for the Lakewood Police Department as a Police Agent. He was a VFW member, part of the American Legion and Ben Lomond Gun Club.

In 1965 right after high school he enlisted in the US Navy where he served until October 21,1968. He had a passion for hunting, shooting and fishing.

Dick is preceded in death by two grandchildren: Christopher James Swanson and Mark Allen Gresham; parents: Carl Arthur Swanson Jr. and Marian Elizabeth Pinto Swanson and his sister.

He is survived by his wife Sandra Swanson; children: Carl Swanson and wife Tina, Justin Swanson, Heather Gresham and husband Tom; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
