Achieving Jr. Civil Engineer “Division of Water Resources and Highways State of California” status. Jim joined the U.S Army in 1954 and was Honorably Discharged at 1st Lieutenant, Corp of Engineers 1959. Returning to work for the State of California, he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in mathematics (computer science was yet to be offered) and continued throughout his career until 2004, a long affair with computers. Working from his longtime home base in California, he was one of many skilled and talented computer professionals working with the US Government and Military to assist, develop, and implement necessary computer programs to help with fighting the Cold War, while developing many components for the software driving industry.
Jimmy (to his beloved mother), learned golf at a young age and through his life won many amateur events. His father discouraged him from the violin, however they shared a love of horse racing and sports wagering. He alone developed many algorithms, enabling his love of patterns (some successful, others.. not so much.)
Jim was an avid reader and student of history and current events such as politics, he was dismayed with the past and current state of his beloved United States, though always proud to be an American.
Jim the Thinker, loved and admired for many things.
