Ronald Troy Grice

Ron was born to Marvin and Christine (ne Clem) Grice in Harmon, OK on April 22, 1938. Affectionately known as Ronnie, he grew up in Ellis County and graduated from Arnett High School. Ron worked at the Ellis County Abstract Company, which launched a long and successful career in the land title and mortgage banking industries. Ron was also a proud veteran of the United State Army, serving from 1956 to 1966, when received an honorable discharge.

Ron married Anita (ne Baldwin) on May 29, 1962 and shortly after moved to Denver, CO, where the couple had two daughters, Rhonda and Shelley. Ron was a loving partner to his wife for more than 60 years and an amazing father to his daughters, to whom he was a fierce and loving protector and taught them the importance of kindness, humor and hard work.

Ron was also one of the world’s most devoted grandfathers to his grandsons Nicholas and Jacob. They were his pride and joy and he was ever-present in their lives, never missing an opportunity to spend time with them. He especially loved attending his grandkids many sporting events, family vacations and road trips back to Oklahoma.

Ron is survived by his wife, Anita; their daughters Rhonda Steenberg (Deron) and Shelley Peterson (Lance); his two grandsons Nicholas Gauna (McKenna) and Jacob Gauna; his sisters Coleta Woods, Euleta Zollinger, and Janice Bouziden; his best friend and brother Rick Grice; and his beloved dog Annie.
