One of the good ones she was. A sweet and compassionate soul that always had a kind word for and about everyone. We were "chappy sisters" albeit briefly but Rox was the one that supported and encouraged me when I was the rookie. Many MRA contestants would say Roxann was their favorite chaperone when they competed. Thank you Rox for all you did for countless young women over the years. You inspired each of them to be the very best they could be. Your absence will surely be missed each year during rodeo season and at the MRA pageant but the memory of your light will never dim. May you soar on the wings of eagles always.

I am so sad to have another of my students pass before their time. Roxann was our next door neighbor in Estes Park and I was her Middle School Principal. My wife Lesley was a rodeo queen of the Roof Top Rodeo in Estes Park as was Roxanne. She was a good rider and loved her horses. She was a fine athlete for the Estes Park Bobcats and was able to be successful even with the pressure of her dad Gordon Rudel being the high school principal. Roxann represented Estes Park at all the local rodeos and continued on to be a mentor to many rodeo queens over the years. She was always a gentle soul. Roxann will be missed by her family and the whole Estes Park Community. Rest in Peace my young friend.

Growing up with Roxanne I remember her coming over to our house and riding our horses one time I found her riding my pony peewee what a sight her long legs all tucked up and she was laughing so hard she would also surprise me sometimes and clean my playhouse! She was an awsome rodeo queen and horse woman and still is! Ride on my friend ride on!

A very special lady has left us way too soon. So very glad that we became acquainted through the Miss Rodeo America organization. Thank you for the wonderful gift of friendship that you shared with so many. You made such a positive difference in our lives and we know we have an angel in heaven watching over us. Rest in peace dear Roxann.

Always there, always with a smile and genuine hug. No one like her...and probably never will be again. I am so thankful that the Lord brought us together; but there will be a hole in my heart that will never be filled. Thank you Rox, for being my friend.

I was so sorry to hear about Roxanns passing. She truly was one of the most positive, dearest people I knew. A very genuine soul and great classmate! We had so many laughs on the bus rides to all of our sports. Such a good example of a respected athlete. You will be missed by many! My thoughts are with your family.
Love,
