Sally was raised on a dairy farm in northeastern Iowa. When she was 15 years old she came to Colorado with Dennis and Wanda Riley where she attended Green Mountain high school and graduated in 1983. Following high school she started her career as a radiology technician. In her spare time she would go with her family to cowboy polo matches where she met Dennis. After a few years of dating they were married on November 18, 1989. They welcomed their first daughter Jessie in February 1991, their second daughter Jamie in May 1992 and their final daughter Jackie in April 1994. After their children were born, Sally made a new career of being a stay at home mom and developed a close relationship with all of her girls. When her daughters were teenagers she went back to work at the local high school as a lunch lady. For the past 14 years she looked forward to each day being around the ladies that she worked with in the kitchen and all the kids in the school.
She would sparkle around babies. She loved any and all from human babies to wildlife and farm babies. Each spring she looked forward to all the new little ones coming into the world. Telling Sally that someone was expecting a baby would light her up and she would sparkle. All the young ones were loved when she was around.
Family was very important to her. She loved to go camping and boating with them as well as hosting get-togethers. Anyone who met Sally fell in love with her immediately. Her kindness and personality was contagious and had many who considered her close to them. What her family and friends will miss most about Sally is her infectious smile, her loving heart and her warm hugs.
Sally leaves behind her loving husband Dennis, her daughters Jessie (Justin), Jamie and Jackie, mother Wanda, sister Dixie (Jim), her brothers Larry (Kathy), Al (Pam), Adam (Julie), Joe and Jason (Abbey).
