Sean Benjamin Hoffman

With heavy hearts, we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Sean Benjamin Hoffman on July 21, 2026, at his home in Castle Rock, Colorado.

Sean was born in Kissimmee, Florida on June 3, 1994 and called Colorado home for most of his life. He attended Lewis-Palmer High School before pursuing a career in the trades. From an early age, Sean was fascinated by how things worked. That curiosity grew into an extraordinary mechanical talent that stayed with him throughout his life.

Sean had a gift for connecting with people. Whether you had known him for years or had just met him, he had an incredible way of making you feel welcome. He was genuinely interested in others, quick with a smile, and always willing to lend a helping hand. He made friends wherever he went.

He lived life wholeheartedly. He believed in showing up for the people he cared about and he did so without hesitation. His greatest joy was the life he built alongside his loving wife, Kali. Together they created a home filled with love, laughter, and the companionship of their cherished pets. Their partnership was built on friendship, devotion, and countless shared adventures.

Sean was exceptionally gifted with his hands and his mind. As a heavy machinery mechanic with ELCO Drilling and Ludwig Drilling, he earned the respect of coworkers through his unmatched work ethic, mechanical expertise, and ability to solve even the toughest problems. He was never afraid to take something apart to understand how it worked or to find a better way to fix it.

His talents extended far beyond his career. Sean loved riding his motorcycle, mountain biking, snowboarding, woodworking, cooking, and taking on new projects simply for the joy of learning something new. His remarkable memory and sharp mind allowed him to absorb knowledge with ease, and he happily shared that knowledge with everyone around him.

While Sean was incredibly capable, what people will remember most is the person he was. He was loyal beyond measure, dependable when it mattered most, and endlessly generous with his time and heart. He celebrated the successes of those he loved, offered encouragement during difficult times, and had an infectious smile and laugh. His spontaneity, ambition, sense of humor, kind spirit, and enjoyment of a good time left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Sean is survived by his wife, Kali Hoffman; mother, Natalie Hoffman; father, Richard Hoffman; sister, Renee (Frances) Kraus; and adored nieces, Leona Kraus and Colette Kraus; along with many extended family members.

Although Sean's life ended far sooner than any of us could have imagined, the legacy he leaves behind will continue to inspire all who knew him. He will truly be missed and in our hearts forever.

A Celebration of Sean’s Life will be held at Goat Patch Brewing Company, 1756 Lake Woodmoor Dr., Monument, CO 80132, on September 19, 2026 from 12-3pm. Family and friends will gather to honor his memory, share stories, laugh through tears, and celebrate the extraordinary man he was.
