Susan Webb, a beloved mother and devoted wife, passed away on March 29, 2023 at the age of 56.
Susan was born on January 19th, 1967, in Chicago, Illinois. She was adopted by her family Christopher and Teresa Kokores. Sue’s childhood was full of adversity. She overcame losing her mother at the age 5 and losing her father at the age of 13. Her brother, Robert (Bob) Kokores, became her legal guardian and they moved to California when Sue was 15.
In 1987, Susan Webb married the love of her life, Kenneth Webb. Ken and Sue’s love was the stuff of fairytales. They started as best friends and fell in love and married the day after Christmas. They celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary this past December. Ken and Sue were partners and companions. They enjoyed every minute together from terribly booked huts on Hawaii’s beach, Disney cruises with their two children: Haley and Kristen, trips to Scottsdale, Arizona with lifetime friends Ben and Sylvie Resch, to their once-in a lifetime trip to Europe they took this past December. Their marriage was one of partnership, love, and endless fun.
Sue moved around a lot in her life - from moving from Illinois to California in her childhood, to the many Webb Family relocations across the country. In each location, Susan Webb was known for her kindness, generosity, and selflessness. Throughout her kids’ childhood, Sue was always known to have the house ready for sleepovers, game nights, and play dates. She would teach the girls and their friends card games like 500 and she was deeply involved in both of her girls’ activities and schools and was affectionately coined by many of her girls’ friends “Mama Sue”. Always a designer, mom designed her home to be the gathering place for the family and friends. The Webb family enjoyed countless movie nights, game nights, and family dinners. Sue and Ken undertook many house projects (across MANY houses) and eventually, after Haley and Kristen got married and bought houses of their own, she always helped give her decorating advice and help with manual labor projects like landscaping.
It was after helping Haley landscape her yard in 2019 that Sue began to become sick. On July 4, 2019, Sue was diagnosed with Stage 4 Ovarian Cancer. She completed multiple rounds of chemo and was in remission for 2 years. Unfortunately the cancer returned in 2021. She completed another round of chemo but a few months later the cancer returned again. She attempted a clinical trial at MD Anderson that was unsuccessful.
Her kind and gentle spirit touched the lives of many, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her loving husband, Kenneth Webb, and her children, Haley Janousek and Kristen Griffin.
A celebration of life service for Susan will be held Saturday, April 8, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Olinger Andrews Caldwell Gibson Chapel, 407 Jerry St., Castle Rock, CO.
Susan Webb will always be remembered as a loving wife, devoted mother, and cherished friend. May she rest in peace. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.OlingerAndrews.com for the Webb family.
