Hey my lil sis, there are so many things that I could say about my little sister, so many memories. Where should I start? I was there with you through much of your beginning, I even gave you your first hair cut. I thought you looked great with no bangs and with what looked like chicken down on the rest of your head. I thought I did really good, our loving mother begged to differ and my rear end felt her truth that day. 
I was with you through many firsts I walked with you on your first day of school. I was there when you had your first dance. I saw you courageously fight through cancer at an age when you should have been giggling with your classmates maybe whispering about the cute guy you had a crush on. That’s when I remember seeing that calm unassuming strength you possessed. That quiet dignified strength that held others higher than yourself. I saw you grow into a woman of wisdom and courage, a woman that took abuse but never gave it in return. You stayed out of the spotlight but you always helped those around you shine. 
I shared so many firsts with you some hard, some sad, some so funny we’d roll around on the ground laughing about them. Oh; but my sweet lil sis. I never imagined that I would share in you being the first to leave this world and move on to that better place. And I know you are there with those generations before us. I know you are quietly whispering our names to the Father of all life.  Asking him to watch over us like you did until such time as he brings us there to join you all. I know you are there already making plans about what we are going to do when we arrive. I am going to miss my lil sis more than I can say. But I look forward to your warm welcome when we meet again. 
Thank you dear one for all these wonderful memories, thank you for being there anytime you were needed. I have always been and I always will be your big brother. You will be missed and never forgotten.

Tammy’s spirit will live on through all the lives she touched. She was an incredible person and will be greatly missed.

Sis…

I still can’t believe you’re gone. It feels like the world just stopped making sense. I keep thinking I’ll hear your voice, see your name pop up on my phone, or hear you call me Danny one more time. I’d give anything to have that back.

I hope it was peaceful. I hope your heart just let go, and you slipped away gently into the light. No pain. No fear. Just peace and freedom.

You were more than my sister—you were a piece of me. And now that you’re gone, a piece of me is missing too. I’ll carry you with me for the rest of my days, in every memory, every laugh, every quiet moment.

I love you, sis. Always have. Always will. And I will see you again. When I do, you better be there waiting for me, smiling and saying, “Hey Danny.”

Until then, rest easy. You're free now.
