Timothy L. Bliek, age 74 of Denver, CO went to his heavenly home on Thursday July 30, 2026. Tim was born on July 22, 1952, was raised in the Denver area and attended Denver Christian Schools graduating in 1970. He graduated from Denver Automotive and Diesel School December 1972.
He started his career at A&K Auto Works in 1972 and eventually became the sole owner of the family business. He closed the doors to the shop in 2007 and headed into partial retirement. He was always working a side construction job or catering a party to keep himself busy. Tim was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed time fishing and pheasant hunting. He was also a man of service. He dedicated many days volunteering at Calvin Camp at Long Scraggy Ranch working on projects to help upkeep the buildings and cabins. In addition, he volunteered at Rehoboth during the annual Denver Christian Middle School mission trip. He would help oversee projects… but most importantly was the chef for the week. Tim was a big character with a huge heart who carried a deep reverence for the Western way of life.
He was proceeded in death by his parents Wilma H. Anema, Gerrit Bliek, stepfather, George Anema Jr., brother Paul Anema, brother-in-law Wesley Masselink. He is survived by his children, Scott (Janda) Bliek, Todd (Lauren Hayutin) Bliek, and Cady (Bliek) Dawson; his seven grandchildren, Holland and Brody Bliek, Mackenzie and Presley Bliek, Jaden, Charles, and Emerson Dawson, siblings Robin Masselink, Peggy (Thais) Itela, Mary (Dan) Hybels, Ann Van Hofwegen, Mark (Leslie) Anema and several nieces and nephews.
We mourn the loss of a brother, father, grandfather (Poppi) uncle, and friend. But rejoice knowing he is in heaven singing gospel songs he loved so much.
A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at Olinger Andrews Caldwell Gibson Chapel, 407 Jerry Street, Castle Rock, CO 80104. The family requests you attend this service in western wear or casual.
