Wendy Mae Bradfield passed away peacefully on February 25, 2025, with her family alongside her. She was born on July 19, 1971, in Anaheim, California, the daughter of Gary Dean and Jerry Lee (Goodson) Correy. Wendy married Brian Bradfield and they celebrated 25 years of marriage together before her passing.
In addition to her husband, Wendy left behind their beloved children Hayley Correy and Brandon Bradfield as well as two wonderful nephews Cody and Hayden Jensen. Wendy was blessed to have one granddaughter, Mila, who she cherished dearly.
Although Wendy will be severely missed by all of her loved ones here on Earth, she will be reunited with her sister Shawnie Lee Correy and her brother James Henry Martin in heaven with the Lord.
Wendy and her family moved from California to Castle Rock and made Douglas County their home for the past six years. She was an avid lover of animals, especially her rescue German shepherds. Wendy shared her love and compassion for animals and their owners by working as a veterinarian assistant, most recently working for the team at Brooklyn Veterinary Clinic in Castle Rock. In her spare time, Wendy enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, or a quiet night at home watching HGTV, the Hallmark Channel, and true crime documentaries.
Wendy had such a loving and adventurous spirit. Her warm and welcoming energy attracted friends wherever she went, human and animal alike. She was a light that all were drawn to. Wendy had a wonderful sense of humor and had a magical way of making every person she met feel seen and special.
A celebration of Wendy’s life will be held by the family at a later date. In accordance with her personality, Wendy would not have wanted anyone to cry. Instead, she would have wanted everyone to have a spectacular time, and celebrate the loving and fun life that she lived. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her honor to the Triple Negative Cancer Foundation or the German Shepherd Rescue of the Rockies.
