With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Lonnie Wiese Eisley, who entered into the presence of her Lord on the morning of July 25, 2026, at the age of 66.

Born on January 2, 1960, in Vacaville, California, Lonnie spent her childhood in the foothills of the majestic Colorado Rockies, where she developed a lifelong love for the outdoors, horses, and the beauty of God’s creation. Growing up, Lonnie lived on a farm with her parents and two older siblings, Terry and Valorie. Since her mother was an Iowa farmer, each sibling learned how to "live off the land", cultivating a half acre garden, raising chickens, goats, horses and various other animals. Given the broad age difference between the siblings, each one learned how to perform all household “chores” such as gathering eggs, milking goats, house cleaning, cooking and cleaning stalls for all the different livestock. As a result, she developed a strong work ethic and closeness to her siblings that would remain throughout her entire life.

She graduated from Air Academy High School in Colorado Springs and soon after earned her EMT certification. Her passion for serving others led her to work with the ambulance crew at Centennial Racetrack in Littleton, Colorado. It was there that she met the love of her life, Gerald “Jerry” William Eisley, who worked as an outrider at the racetrack. Their meeting began a beautiful love story that would span decades filled with unwavering devotion, adventure, and a deep commitment to family. Jerry brought 3 children into the relationship that Lonnie immediately embraced and loved as if they were her own.

A few years later, Lonnie accepted a position with a bank in downtown Denver. When Centennial Racetrack closed in 1983, she and Jerry made their home in Castle Rock, Colorado. Soon after, Lonnie began what would become an extraordinary career with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office as a dispatcher. Through years of faithful service, she rose to become the head supervisor of the department, serving in numerous capacities including dispatch operations, SWAT support, and off-site security communications.

Lonnie’s calm presence, decisive leadership, and compassionate heart earned the respect and admiration of countless deputies, first responders, and county employees. Her no-nonsense approach was always balanced with kindness and genuine care for others. Her legacy of public service will continue to be remembered by those who had the privilege of serving alongside her.

For the past 33 years, Lonnie and Jerry made their home on a beautiful acreage just north of Franktown, Colorado. Together they built not only a home, but a life rich with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. They owned and operated an equine facility, managed a team roping club, spent countless days horseback camping deep in the Colorado mountains with treasured friends, enjoyed Caribbean cruises with family, celebrated retirement with camping adventures, and created a cherished family tradition of gathering children and grandchildren each January for the National Western Stock Show and Rodeo as their “late Christmas” celebration.

Above all, Lonnie loved being a homemaker. She took great pride in creating a home that was always immaculate, warm, welcoming, and filled with love. Anyone who crossed her threshold immediately felt like family.

Lonnie lived her life unapologetically—with strength, integrity, generosity, and an unwavering faith in the Lord. She loved deeply, gave freely, and stood steadfastly beside those she loved. She was a constant source of unconditional love, wisdom, encouragement, and support for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her greatest joy was spending time with her growing family, and the moments shared together became treasured memories that will live on for generations. Lonnie’s unshakeable faith gave her the strength to face a 2 ½ year battle against cancer with courage and dignity. Her earthly suffering is over and she is now safe in the arms of Jesus.

Lonnie is survived by her loving children, Justin (Connie) Eisley, Mary Gambill (Casey Jones), and Echo Sharkey; her sister, Valorie Simpson; her brother, Terrance (Beverly) Wiese; along with her beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and many dear friends whose lives she touched.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gerald “Jerry” Eisley, and her parents, William and Judith Wiese, brother Carroll Wiese, and brother-in-law Mark Simpson.

Lonnie will be laid to rest beside Jerry and her mother Judy at Franktown Cemetery, where they will remain together in the place they called home.

Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort knowing she has been reunited with the love of her life and has heard the words, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”Matthew 25:21a

Her love will continue to guide us. Her strength will continue to inspire us. Her memory will forever remain in our hearts.
