

Zachary Nathan Zuercher, a brave kind-hearted young soul, passed away on October 13, 2025. Born on February 20, 2019, in Naperville, Illinois. Zachary was a resident of Castle Rock, Colorado. His life, cut far too short, was marked by bravery, resilience, humor and thoughtfulness. He left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
Zachary was the beloved son of Nathan and Monica Zuercher, who were his world and best friends. Cherished grandson of Gregory "PaPot" and Susan "Grammy" Zuercher, and his “Lola” Eva Sebastian. Loving nephew to his uncles - Art and Dan Sebastian, and Josh Zuercher, aunts - Jodi and Lauren Sebastian and Deniz Zuercher. Playful cousin to Jaxon, Savi and Jude Sebastian, Doah and Isla Zuercher. His family was the center of his world.
Zachary loved Marvel, Monster Jam trucks, building Legos, dancing, playing Minecraft and his Nintendo Switch. He was fascinated by dinosaurs and sharks. He was very competitive, loving to beat his family in Uno and other card games. Zach loved being outside, catching bugs, collecting rocks, hiking, playing in the sand and swimming. A true foodie, always planning his next meal, he had a special fondness for steak, king crab, ramen, potstickers, bruschetta, and superman ice cream. He loved going out to dinner every weekend with Mommy and Daddy.
Known for his sharp memory, loving personality, sweet smile and sense of humor. Zachary could be shy but always brought laughter and joy to those around him. Despite a 14-month battle with cancer, Zachary remained incredibly brave and resilient. He taught those around him what strength and love truly mean. His family takes comfort in knowing he is now pain-free, cancer-free and at peace.

Zachary's legacy of love, strength, and thoughtfulness will forever be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will always be our hero.
