It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Zofia Zloza on February 5, 2024, at the age of 84. She peacefully departed from this world, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness and unwavering strength.
Born May 21, 1939 in Ciche, Poland, Zofia was a beacon of warmth and compassion to all who knew her. She was a loving daughter of Ignacy and Albina Basiorka. Throughout her life, she touched the hearts of countless individuals with her gentle spirit and generous nature.
She was married to the love of her life, Wladyslaw Zloza, for 65 years. A devout catholic she instilled her faith and loving nature in her family. One of the many ways Zofia expressed her love was through cooking and baking, she was best known for her delicious paczki.
Zofia is preceded in death by her parents: Ignacy and Albina Basiorka; siblings: Andrzej and Stanislaw; granddaughter Christina Zloza-Stortz.
She is survived by her husband, Wladyslaw Zloza; children: Vincent and Anna Zloza, Halina and Andrzej Kuros, Andy and Helen Zloza; siblings: Wladyslaw, Jan, Agnieszka and Joe. Zofia was not only cherished as a devoted grandmother but also celebrated as a beloved great-grandmother, leaving behind a profound impact of warmth and affection that resonates through generations.
May Zofia’s soul find eternal peace, and may her memory be a source of comfort and inspiration to all who mourn her passing.
Visitation for Zofia will be held Monday, February 12, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Olinger Andrews Caldwell Gibson Chapel, 407 Jerry Street, Castle Rock, CO 80104. Prayer service will take place during the visitation at 7:00 PM.
Funeral Mass will occur Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at 11:00 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, 2746 Fifth St., Castle Rock, CO 80104.
Graveside service will follow mass at 1:00 PM at Olinger Chapel Hill Mortuary & Cemetery, 6601 South Colorado Blvd, Centennial, CO 80121. Following the graveside service the family invites you to join them for at a reception to share in more fellowship and stories of Zofia.
