Arthur Monaco

On September 10, 2011; Arthur J. Monaco; beloved husband of the late Anna Marie Monaco (nee Collins); loving father of Dr. Mark Monaco, DVM and his wife Eileen; dear brother of Jennie Mannone, Carmen Walker, Stella Melaragno, Joseph Monaco and the late Yolanda Lombardi, Eleanor Monaco and Anthony Monaco. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Mr. Monaco served his country as Sergeant in the United States Air Force, fabricating fighter planes that were active during WWII. He was a long time member of Disabled American Veterans. A native of Catonsville, Arthur also enjoyed his winter home in Ft. Myers, FL to be near his son, daughter-in-law and her family. Arthur was dearly loved by everyone he met in both MD and FL and will be deeply missed.

Relatives and friends may call at the STERLING ASHTON SCHWAB WITZKE FUNERAL HOME OF CATONSVILLE, INC., 1630 Edmondson Avenue, on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-9PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, 9AM, at St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church, 6950 Dogwood Rd; Woodlawn, MD 21144. Interment will immediately follow in Lakeview Memorial Park. If desired, donations in lieu of flowers may be directed to St. Gabriel’s Church at the above address or the D.A.V. P.O. box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250.
