Bernard Gilman Herr

Bernard G. Herr (102+) peacefully went to sleep on Sunday, November 15, 2020, at Tranquillity Assisted Living, located in Frederick, where he resided since 2016. Bernie is preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years, and one son. Bernie leaves behind his daughter-in-law, two grandson’s and their wives, and three great-granddaughters.

Special thanks from the Herr family go out to the Mullen Family for their loving and generous support of Bernie. To all those at Tranquillity, staff and residents, who become Bernie’s home away from home and made Bernie comfortable and provided a safe, caring home-like atmosphere; and to the many doctors and staff who provided Bernie their excellent concern and care during his final years.

Due to current COVID-19 concerns, no memorial services are arranged at this time. If you wish to honor Bernie’s memory, please listen to the La Bohème opera by Puccini or when it’s safe to do so, enjoy a meal with friends and loved ones and reflect on how Bernie touched your life. Arrangements have been made by Sterling Ashton Schwab Witzke Funeral Home of Catonsville, MD.
