Bernice Gertrude Morsberger

Daughter of the late Elmer Bushy Carl and Mildred Schindel Carl of Hagerstown, MD, beloved wife of 57 years of the late Elmer Louis Morsberger, Gertie is survived by her four devoted children, Emory Lee Morsberger and wife Janet, of Lilburn, GA; Robert Carl Morsberger, of Catonsville; Christine Elise Morsberger of Catonsville and Ted Bauer of Baltimore; and Louis John Morsberger and wife Nancy, of Chevy Chase, MD; and daughter-in-law Kimberly Morsberger of Catonsville; eleven grandchildren: Jennifer, Johanna, June, Julie, Jacquelyn, Jill, and Jamie Morsberger, of Lilburn, GA; Robert and Katelyn Morsberger of Catonsville; and Layne and John Morsberger, of Chevy Chase, MD; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Preceded in death by one day by her brother, Edwin James Carl of Hagerstown. She was a graduate of the University of Maryland and sister in the College Park chapter of Alpha Xi Delta sorority, and active in the Rolling Hills Women’s Club.

Relatives and friends may call at the Sterling-Ashton-Schwab-Witzke Funeral Home at 1630 Edmondson Ave. (410-744-8600) in Catonsville on Saturday, January 25 from 6 PM to 8 PM. Services will be held at Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church, 905 Frederick Road in Catonsville, on Sunday, January 26, at 2 PM. Interment will follow at Loudon Park National Cemetery in Baltimore.
