Catherine Teresa Oyarzo

On November 20, 2023, Catherine Teresa Oyarzo passed away. Beloved wife of the late Edwin M. Oyarzo Jr. Loving mother of Catherine Fordham and husband Martin Fordham; Brian Oyarzo; Kevin Oyarzo; and Edwin Oyarzo and husband Wedigo Watson. Cherished grandmother of seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Close friend to many.

Mom was devoted to her family. After Dad died prematurely in 1973, Mom added a successful career in child care to her existing responsibilities to raise four young children. We never wanted for anything. She continued to watch over and help us even after we became adults. Mom gave us a feeling of security. She was always there whenever we needed. We were glad we were able to show our gratitude by helping her as she needed in later years. We were sad to say goodbye. We miss you Mom.

Family will receive friends from 3-6PM, Sunday, December 10 at the Sterling-Ashton-Schwab-Witzke Funeral Home of Catonsville, Inc., 1630 Edmondson Avenue, Catonsville, MD 21228. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30AM, Monday, December 11 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 9000 Warfield Road, Gaithersburg, MD 20882. A brief committal service will take place 2:30PM, Monday, December 11 at the Garrison Forest Veteran Cemetery Chapel, 11501 Garrison Forest Road, Owings Mills, MD 21117.
