Charlotte Young Clem-Langbehn

Charlotte Y. Clem-Langbehn died peacefully in her sleep on November 12, 2022 at Wilton Overlook of the Charlestown Retirement Community, Catonsville, MD where she had been a long time resident. She was 98 years old. She was the daughter of Samuel H. Young and Edith Roderick Young of Frederick, MD. Charlotte was married to the late Donald W. Clem, and after his death, married the late Eugene W. Langbehn. She is survived by her son Rev. Donald W. Clem Jr. of Rockville, MD and her daughter Cynthia C. Letcher of Okeechobee, FL, and her granddaughters Rachel R. Clem, Kathryn D. Clem, Anastasia M. Letcher and Celena L. Letcher. Charlotte had been active in the Charlestown United Protestant Church, prior to which she had been an Elder at Towson Presbyterian Church where she especially had enjoyed being a member of the choir. She served as a long time hospital volunteer at GBMC, and at Charlestown especially enjoyed being a member of the Harmonizers singing group, playing piano and doing shows with her late husband Eugene.

A funeral service will be held 11AM, Thursday, November 17 at the STERLING-ASHTON-SCHWAB-WITZKE FUNERAL HOME OF CATONSVILLE, INC., 1630 Edmondson Avenue, Catonsville, MD 21228. Interment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Frederick, MD to follow at 1PM.
