

Daisy Bell Travers graduated from Frederick Memorial Nursing School in 1949. She worked at Johns Hopkins Hospital, St. Agnes Hospital, John F. Kennedy and Kreger Institute and retired from Baltimore City Health Department in 1986.
Daisy was an avid gardener and took pride in her flower beds as well as gardening for the Catonsville Senior Center and the Knights of Columbus. She also enjoyed traveling and being with her family and was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, Baltimore.
She is survived by her sister, Edna Marker Shafer and brother Clarence Marker; her children, Kathleen Ann Fisher and husband Ronald, Patrick Marker Travers and wife Barbara, Timothy Paul Travers and Rosemary Travers Clark; her three grandchildren, Dawn Marie Bowlin and husband Jerry, Ronald Travers Fisher, Sarah Elizabeth Travers; and her three great grandchildren Dalton Fisher Bowlin, Baylee Anne Marie Heilmann and Jax Michael Heilmann. She also had many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sisters, Ruth Marker Wolf, Pauline Marker Haupt and brothers, Marvin Marker and James Russell Marker; and a daughter Colleen Elizabeth Ernst.
A memorial service will be held at STERLING-ASHTON-SCHWAB-WITZKE FUNERAL HOME OF CATONSVILLE, INC.; 1630 Edmondson Avenue; Catonsville, MD 21228 on Sunday, November 24, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution can be made in her name to Gilchrist Hospice of Columbia, Maryland or St. Agnes Church, Baltimore, Maryland.
