I am sorry to hear that Don died. I worked with him from about 1984-1992 in the Customer Service Department at BG&E. He was respected by everyone who knew him -- his employees, his peers and his supervisors. I think the main reason for this was his full understanding of what was important and what really didn't matter. After the Customer Service Department was split into utility and non-utility functions, Don went to the gas emergency department where he was in charge of dispatching things such as gas odor calls.

Seeing the picture of Don on his boat brings back happy memories of him talking about it. I remember him talking about towing it over the Bay Bridge -- he said that every time he towed it, he kept a close eye on the temperature gauge -- it would creep up until he passed the crest of the bridge -- from then on, he knew everything would be fine.

The memories that stick out the most to me of Mr. Don center around his boys, Mark and John. There were the numerous nights at Bingo Bills "roasting" Mark and his "Mark The Shark" pro wrestling persona. And the day Mr. Don and John were getting his boat ready in the backyard of the house John and I were renting with a few other friends back in the 90's. Seeing how proud he was of the both of them is something I will never forget. So sorry for your families loss.
