On February 11, 2021, Donna Maria Kern passed away; Devoted wife of the late William Kern; Loving mother of Scott Kern and his wife Whitney, and the late Steven Vincent MacAluso; Cherished grandmother of J.T. Sands, Alexa Rosado (Zachary), Joseph Sands, Sydney Kern, and Nicholas Kern; great-grandmother of Addie and Everleigh Rosado; Devoted daughter of Blanch (Balsamo) and George Carter; and sister of Richard, Bobby, and Diane Balsamo, and Colleen Wharton.
Donna was a Life Member and Past President of the Woodlawn Volunteer Fire Company (Member since 2/6/1979), Past President of the Lansdowne Volunteer Fire Company (Member since 5/26/2006), She served as the Financial Secretary of the Baltimore County Volunteer Firefighters Association.
In her youth, she attended the Institute of Notre Dame. She enjoyed hiking, needlepoint sewing, loved to travel, especially enjoyed spending time in Ft. Myers and Orlando, Florida, and Charleston, South Carolina, enjoyed taking cruises, she collected bears, enjoyed listening to country music, and in her earlier years she was a huge Nascar fan.
