Elizabeth "Betty" Kearney

On July 10, 2010, Elizabeth “Betty” P. Kearney (nee Clarkson) passed away in Baltimore, MD. She was born December 23, 1928 in Mason County, KY, the youngest daughter of the late Simon and Pauline Clarkson. Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, James Anthony Kearney, and a sister and three brothers. She is survived by her five children, James Philip Kearney (Marguerite), Kathleen Kearney Frey (David), Paul Clarkson Kearney (Ellen), Robert Allen Kearney (Lita) and Patrick Edward Kearney (Christie). She was proudest of her eleven grandchildren, Jennifer Overlock, Kimberly Grebner, Kevin, Timothy, Michael, Jacqueline, Ryan, Sean, Julie, Annie and Jimmy Kearney. Additional survivors include 10 great grandchildren, her brother, James E. Clarkson of Maysville, KY, and many nieces and nephews.

Betty was an active member of St. William of York Parish and a dedicated member of the Joy Club. Betty’s friendly, warm smile and laughter will be missed by all who knew her.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 3-5 & 7-9PM at STERLING-ASHTON-SCHWAB-WITZKE FUNERAL HOME OF CATONSVILLE, INC.; 1630 Edmondson Avenue; Catonsville, MD 21228. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30AM, Thursday at St. William of York Catholic Church. Interment Garrison Forest Veteran Cemetery.
