On March 30, 2024; Hsiao Hui “Mei Mei” Xavier passed away, at the age of 81. A kind and caring woman who absolutely adored her grandchildren and loved spending time with her family with all of her heart.
She was an amazing cook and would never let you leave without having food in your hand or in your belly.
She enjoyed being in nature and bird watching. She also loved karaoke and dancing, as well as exploring new places and restaurants of all kinds.
She was born in China and as a young girl, moved to Taiwan where she met and married the love of her life and came to the U.S. in 1969. She always made sure her family appreciated the Asian side of their heritage and she strived to make everyone she knew the best version of themselves.
She is the beloved wife of Joseph Xavier Jr.; cherished sister of Shin-Hua Yeh; loving mother of Joyce Xavier Johnson and her husband Lyon; Joe Xavier and his wife Kim, and Craig Xavier; devoted grandmother of Wyatt Johnson, Ivan Johnson, Eli Johnson, Alex Xavier, John Xavier, and Elyssa Xavier. She will be missed by all those whose lives she touched.
