

Jacqueline Jane Millar Priest passed away on February 3, 2013 in Catonsville, MD. Jackie was born in Detroit, MI on January 13, 1928. After graduating from Business College in Detroit, she moved to California and worked for the C.F. Braun Co. of Alhambia, CA. After marriage to Robert W. Priest, they moved to Washington, DC and eventually to Maryland. She was active in her church serving as a Deacon, President of the Women’s Association, also treasurer and Circle president. Jackie was honored with an Honorarium by the Woman’s group for her service.
She was the beloved wife of Robert Walter Priest for 61 years. Loving mother of Robert Walter Priest Jr. and his wife Susan Cloud Priest and the late Diane Lee Priest Stinchcomb and Mother-in-law of Earl Stinchcomb. Cherished grandmother of Earl Wesley Stinchcomb, Erin Elizabeth Stinchcomb Ware and her husband Darren, Robert W. Priest III and his wife Kristin, Elizabeth “Betsey” Ashley Priest Montanye and her husband Nathan and great-grandmother of Trey Ware and Andrew Priest.
Jackie was active as a room mother for both children and also a member of the Athletic Boosters Club for Severna Park High School, MD.
She was a bowler-both 10 pins and duck pins. Her team won the International Bowling Congress Tournament in April 1981. This was the third highest score in the tournament history at that time.
She volunteered for a charitable boutique that catered to women and men’s clothing/accessories. The funds helped the elderly who had no support.
Jackie and husband Bob moved to Charlestown Retirement Community in 2003. While there they were involved with the treasure sale pick up and clean out of apartments. Jackie also worked at the library and as a member of the Dining Committee.
