On October 30, 2012, James Cowles of Catonsville; Beloved husband of 47 years to Dr. Carolyn A. Cowles; Loving father of Christopher J. Cowles and Andrew J. Cowles; Dear brother of Jeffrey E. Cowles; He was predeceased by his parents, Clarence and Margaret Cowles and survived by many nieces and nephews. He was a member of the University of Maryland Alumni, Terrapin club, the Rebounders, Catonsville Senior Center and a volunteer teacher of Wii Bowling.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2012, 12pm at the Loudon Park Cemetery, 3620 Wilkens Ave., Baltimore, MD 21229.
