I grew up in Academy Heights and came to know Jimmy through his younger brother Phil. Although he was older and I am sure had much better things to do at the time, Jimmy was always willing to to take his younger brother and us out to play whatever sport was in-season...he was a tough competitor (he was after all an Elliott!), but fair. A few years later, I ran into Jimmy while working part-time out of college and he was able to help me land my first full-time job at Landis & Gyr in Woodlawn, MD. Although I haven't seen Jimmy in 23 years, I will always remember his cheerfulness and generosity and I will be forever grateful that I knew him. I wish Phil and Jimmy's family peace and comfort in the days ahead.

I know of no other more loving father and brother. Jim's love for his family was of utmost importance to him, above all else. He was kind, gracious and treated everyone with respect. I will miss him more than he can know.
