I was saddened to read of Jane’s passing in the paper this morning. She went to high school with my mother,Dorothy Shallenberger, and they remained friends for almost 75 years until my mother passed away in 2016. I remember them playing Bridge through the years and my 4 siblings and I playing with Steven, John and Philip. I remember Jane and Phil being at my wedding in 1970 and as I nervously walked down the aisle on my dad’s arm, there they were and Phil winked at me and Jane gave me a big smile. It was just what I needed to relax! Jane was a sweet, loving lady and I imagine she is in heaven now playing Bridge with Phil, Dorothy and my dad, Jim.
