On November 8, 2014, Jerome J. Beverungen passed away. Loving son of the late Patricia Elizabeth Beverungen and Richard Walter Beverungen Jr. Beloved brother of Lawrence J. Beverungen, Patricia A. Barnes, Richard Walter Beverungen III, Matthew J. Beverungen, and John E. Beverungen. He was a RN for Johns Hopkins Hospital where he earned the Nurse of the Year Award. He was a gourmet cook and generous gift-giver, nature-lover, fly-tying fisherman, hiker and backpacker, photographer, flutist, a runner in his adult years, he was an avid reader, trivia specialist, and had a quick wit. As a young boy he had a fascination with cars and airplanes as well. Although he did not have children of his own, he had a gentle spirit and an open heart for children and animals.
A memorial gathering will be held at Sterling Ashton Schwab Witzke Funeral Home of Catonsville, Inc., 1630 Edmondson Ave., Catonsville, MD 21228 on Sunday, November 16, 2014 from 2pm to 4pm.
