Uncle John was a quiet hero, dedicating himself to his country and to public service. He touched so many people day-to-day with his enduring kindness and humor - I'll never forget his smile. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers. God bless!

I was the lucky one to walk down the aisle at Bob & Cheryl's wedding with John on my arm. While we only had met John shortly before the wedding, he made both my husband and I feel as if we had known him all our lives. What a wonderfully sweet man. I am truly blessed for having met him. Our prayers go out to you. His love will always live within each of his family members and all who were blessed to be his freinds.

We are saddened hear of Mr. Balassone's passing. He was such a special person to me as we grew up in our teenage years. I know you will miss him dearly. He taught me a lot about what being a loving and dedicated father is all about.
