

Joseph graduated from Villanova University with a Bachelor's degree in Physics and later earned a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University. He provided 60 years of dedicated service to Westinghouse Electric Company (later Northrop Grumman), pioneering cutting edge radar technology, resulting in a decisive advantage for the United States Armed Forces.
Joseph was a dedicated and charitable family man, devout member of the Catholic Church, and friend to many who unselfishly helped so many people along his journey. He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Patricia (LaManna) Stevenson, of Catonsville, MD; his children: Joseph G Stevenson of Sterling, VA: Matthew Stevenson of Gainesville, VA, and Kevin Stevenson (Emily) of Haymarket, VA; his granddaughter: Samantha Stevenson; and his grandsons: Ryan Stevenson, Grisham Stevenson, Adam Stevenson, Logan Stevenson, and Kyle Stevenson.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, July 9 from 4-7PM at the STERLING-ASHTON-SCHWAB-WITZKE FUNERAL HOME OF CATONSVILLE, INC., 1630 Edmondson Avenue, Catonsville, MD 21228. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11AM, Monday, July 10 at St. Mark Chapel, 30 Melvin Avenue, Catonsville, MD 21228. Interment in Meadowridge Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to St. Mark Church, 30 Melvin Avenue, Catonsville, MD 21228.
