I lived next door to Bill for several years. I just renewed my friendship with him this year when I returned for a visit. He was such fun, with his acerbic wit and humor, and I will miss him!

Bill was a very dear friend of mine. We grew up together in Hyattsville and share many wonderful memories. We talked every Monday and solved the problems of the world. He will be greatly missed and always remembered - a very special "brother and fellow Marine". Tinker and Carol Shoemaker

To my dear friend Lisa and her sweet mom, Puzz, and Mr. Dooley's family friends, my family & I send our deepest condolences. I never got to meet Mr. Dooley but, Lisa spoke very fondly and highly of him so I know he had to be a wonderful, sweet man.

Bill grew up with my husband James Fletcher in Hyattsville, MD. Their mothers were dear friends through the Hyattsville Methodist Church. Jim and Bill played together. Bill officiated both of Jim's parents funerals and our daughter's wedding. So enjoyed keeping in touch at Christmas Time. A dear friend of long standing will be missed and pray he is a peace.
