Rita Rosalie Baum

Rita married the late James F. Baum in 1953 and they celebrated 62 wonderful years together mostly in Ellicott City before moving to Charlestown Retirement Community in 2012. Rita is survived by Colleen West and husband Tom and Brian Baum and wife Patti. She is also survived by beloved grandchildren Trevor Baum, Tom West, Jr. and wife Kelley, and Amy Huffman and husband Chris, and new great-grandson Finnegan Huffman.

Rita was known for her kindness and affection to all she encountered as well as her quick wit. Rita was immensely proud of her family and leaves nothing behind but beautiful memories. Living a full and happy life, she survived most family and friends. She is joyfully reunited with her husband, and predeceased family and friends in eternity.

Viewing will be held on Tuesday, September 7 from 3-7PM at Sterling-Ashton-Schwab-Witzke Funeral Home of Catonsville, Inc. and on Wednesday, September 8 from 10:30-11AM at our Lady of the Angels Chapel at Charlestown Retirement Community followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM. Interment in Holy Redeemer Cemetery on Thursday, September 9 at 11:15AM.
